I don't believe that Fossett will come back… The desert where he was lost is not the Robinson Crusoe's island where he could comfortably live several years. If only really aliens have invited him on a visit… 
And as to his widow - it is
possible to understand her, presently there are so many bureaucratic
complexities - you will not live without a piece of paper.
